Danantara's total assets exceed 1 trillion rupiah, who is the biggest contributor?

  • Mar. 29, 2025

Peace Daily, March 28, 2025, Indonesia - Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) has announced its complete management and structure.

The complete structure of Danantara is composed of people from home and abroad who are considered experts in their respective fields. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said that those who join have gone through a rigorous screening process. In addition to being experts in their respective fields, the selected people must also share the same vision and mission for Danantara.

Roslani admitted that the task his party has undertaken is very difficult, which is to manage the country's investments. For this, we need people with ability and integrity.

Danantara's initial financing or initial funding is expected to reach US$20 billion. In the initial stage, Danantara will cover at least 7 large state-owned enterprises, namely PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk., PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., PT PLN (Persero), PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. and PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) or MIND ID. However, the latest news is that Danantara will manage all BUMN assets.

If only 7 companies are referred to, from the total assets of 7 BUMNs, the funds managed by Danantara in the initial stage will reach 9,000 trillion rupiah.

These seven companies are also the seven largest companies in Indonesia, and they have strong strategic significance and multi-faceted interests, including supporting the community economy.

However, the Indonesian government has transferred the ownership of Series B shares of some state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). The action taken on March 22, 2025 is related to the participation of the state capital of the Republic of Indonesia in the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Authority (BPI Danantara).

In the information disclosure, it was stated that the government has transferred Series B shares of telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM), toll road issuer PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. (JSMR) and cement issuer PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (SMGR). In addition, shares of state-owned banks were also transferred, namely PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. (BBTN).

Since the Republic of Indonesia owns 100% of BKI and the preferred shares of the state-owned companies, namely Series A Dwiwarna shares, the implementation of the equity transfer will not change the control of the Republic of Indonesia over these state-owned companies. Initially through direct ownership, it has now changed to indirect ownership through BKI.

Below are the details of the assets of the 10 BUMNs included in Danantara's forecast, with the total assets of the 10 BUMNs reaching IDR 9,924.23 trillion.
